Fraudsters usually send emails trying to mimic banks and other financial institutes. An example is the email snapshot above. An email claiming to be a debit alert from UBA (United Bank for Africa), but when you closely examine the email address it was sent from <pnihoubad@hodship.net> which is not the email address of the bank. The first part "Udirect@ubagroup.com" is just a name given by the fraudster, to deceive people to assume it's from the bank.
Always check which email address emails are from. The above snapshot is from a Yahoo mailbox. Other email providers show it in different ways. For some, you might need to pass your mouse over the sender's name, to reveal the email address it is from.
